Terms of Service
1. The service
PreFrame is a desktop application for planning the shots of a video before it is filmed. It currently runs on macOS. To use it you create an account by signing in with Google or with Apple; PreFrame never stores a password of yours.
PreFrame is operated by Alberto del Álamo Herrero, with Spanish tax ID (NIF) 49022742J ("PreFrame", "we") — see the Legal Notice for full details. By creating an account or using the application you accept these terms.
The service works with credits: one credit lets you create one project (see section 4). Every new account receives one credit for free so you can try the whole application before buying anything.
2. Purchases and payments
Purchases are processed by Stripe, acting as merchant of record — the seller of the transaction. The products and the service themselves — the credits and the application — are PreFrame's, and PreFrame delivers them to your account. Your card or bank statement will show Stripe as the party charging you.
The current prices are those shown on the pricing page and inside the application at the moment of purchase. All prices are shown with applicable taxes included. The price you see when you confirm the purchase is the one you pay.
Credits are delivered to your account as soon as the payment is confirmed. If they do not appear within a few minutes, contact us (section 8).
3. Refunds and disputes
A credit is used the moment you create a project with it. Used credits are not refunded, under any circumstances: the project they paid for already exists and everything inside it is already yours.
If you bought credits you have not used, you can ask for a refund: write to us (section 8), or contact Stripe's Link support directly. Stripe, as merchant of record, can issue refunds up to 60 days after the purchase.
Any statutory cancellation or withdrawal rights you have as a consumer apply to the transaction with Stripe as the seller, and are handled by Stripe under its terms of sale. Nothing in these terms limits the rights that consumer law gives you. Payment disputes and chargebacks are handled by Stripe.
4. Credits and projects
One credit covers one project, and it is used when the project is created. Everything you do inside that project afterwards is included, with no further charge.
Some of the content associated with a project becomes fixed the first time you export from it, and cannot be replaced afterwards.
Credits do not expire. They stay in your account until you use them. Credits are personal to your account and cannot be transferred to another account or exchanged for money.
Free and launch-priced credits are limited: today, every new account receives one free credit, and credits at the launch price are limited to two per account. The launch promotion ends when the announced sales cap is reached; the prices and limits in force at any moment are the ones shown on the pricing page.
There is currently no limit on the number of projects, shots or equipment items you can create. We reserve the right to introduce reasonable limits in the future to keep the service working for everyone; if we do, they will be announced in advance and will not affect projects already created.
5. Account and conduct
You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Your account is personal: you are responsible for what is done with it and for keeping access to your Google or Apple sign-in secure.
You agree not to use PreFrame to break the law, to interfere with the service or with other users' accounts, to try to obtain credits without paying for them, or to reverse-engineer or resell the application. We may suspend or close an account that does any of this; credits obtained through abuse are not refunded.
The content you create in your projects is yours. PreFrame does not claim any rights over it and only stores it to provide you the service.
You may stop using PreFrame at any time. To delete your account and the data associated with it, write to us (section 8); see the Privacy Policy for what is deleted and when.
The application is provided as is. We work to keep it reliable, but we cannot guarantee it will be free of errors or available at every moment, and we recommend keeping your own copies of the audio and image files you work with. Nothing in these terms limits the rights you have as a consumer under applicable law.
6. This website
The PreFrame website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc.). It sets no cookies and no browser storage, carries no advertising, and serves every font from its own domain. See the Privacy Policy.
The site offers no waiting list and collects no email addresses.
7. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. Each version carries a number and a date at the top of this page. If the change is substantial, you will be asked to read and accept the new version the next time you open the application before you can continue using it; minor changes (wording, contact details) are simply published here. If you do not agree with a new version, you can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account.
